Rwanda Water Pipeline Project

A project that started in August 2024 as a part of Engineers Without Borders -- UIUC Chapter. We have the goal of building a water tank, pipeline, and several tap stands for a community of 3,000 in Kamonyi, Rwanda.

Description

As a core member of the project for the 2025-2026 academic year, I contributed to assessment trip planning, early-stage project documentation, and meetings with Rwandan non-governmental organizations and EWB-USA. Notably, I helped our project reach our fundraising goal of $15,000 for the year by volunteering for and planning various fundraisers.

As one of the design leads for the project (as of Fall 2025), I lead a team of students to read and create technical documentation, create necessary project deliverables (such as an alternatives analysis), and technical design work necessary for the project (i.e. AutoCAD drawings).
